The Papua LNG project has opened a new round of procurement, offering local contractors and suppliers a chance to participate in one of the region's largest energy developments, with contracts worth an estimated US$2.4 billion expected to be awarded over the next 18 months.
TotalEnergies, the project operator, held a supplier engagement forum in Port Moresby this week, attracting over 300 local businesses eager to understand the requirements and qualification criteria for the upcoming tender packages.
